About the event

You’ll strengthen your faith during this 12-day experience of a lifetime, bringing to life what you read in the pages of your Bible. You’ll get to travel with existing friends and make new acquaintances who share a common faith.

It’s immensely encouraging when Christians of all generations are able to experience the trip together. We selected the October dates to leverage the mild temperatures, reduced air-fare and students’ Fall break for the trip.

Your Experience

Highlights

Stand Where Jesus Stood
When Jesus came to the synagogue in Capernaum on the Sabbath, He taught with unprecedented authority (Mark 1:21). You'll stand in the very place where Jesus worshiped and taught on many Sabbaths in a 4th century synagogue built on the same site.
See What Jesus Saw
As you're walking down the Mount of Olives toward the city of Jerusalem, you're overwhelmed with the grandeur of the city that Jesus and His Apostles would have seen. You will be where Jesus foretold Jerusalem's destruction in AD 70 (Matt. 24:3) and in the Garden of Gethsemane where He prayed the night before His crucifixion.
Walk Where Jesus Walked
When you climb the steps to Caiaphas' house, you will be walking up the path Jesus was taken when He was arrested and tried before Annas and Caiaphas.
Visualize Where Jesus Was Buried
You can almost visualize the angel of the Lord sitting atop the large stone door rolled across the entrance of the garden tomb. When Mary Magdalene, the other Mary, and Salome brought spices to anoint the dead body of Jesus, they saw a tomb similar to this. You'll see both the traditional burial site of Jesus and a first century tomb like the one in which He was buried.
Sail on the Sea of Galilee
Sitting in the boat on the Sea of Galilee, you imagine the disciples casting their nets into the water and pulling in a miraculous catch of fish; Peter catching the fish with a coin in its mouth; the stilling of the tempest; and Jesus walking on water. On the shore, you can see some of the villages in which Jesus preached.
Experience a Passover Meal
You'll never forget the Passover meal you experienced on this trip. As you eat, you will remember how the Passover was instituted before God delivered Israel from Egyptian bondage. This experience will bring to life the Passover meal Jesus ate with His disciples on the night of His betrayal, during which He instituted the Lord's Supper.
See Where the Gospel Was First Preached to Gentiles
Experience Cornelius’ hometown, the site of one of Herod the Great’s palaces at Caesarea (Martima) and where Pontius Pilate, Felix and Festus ruled as procurators. You'll sing in the city's amphitheater.
Experience History
You can see the tell of ancient Beth-shean, on whose walls the Philistines publicly hanged the bodies of Saul and Jonathan. As you walk the streets of Scythopolis, the first century Roman city, you will marvel at its impressive theater, bath house, and colonnaded streets.

About Us

Mike Willis

Having guided more than a dozen tours overseas, Mike is well equipped to lead your trip. He'll help you understand the archaeological and Biblical significance of the sites you visit. He majored in religious studies for his Bachelor and two Masters’ degrees and published the book, Archaeology and the Bible. He has over fifty years of preaching experience.

Meagan Willis

Meagan is the impetus behind the 2020 trip to Israel. She benefited so much from her last trip to Israel in 2008 that she wanted her teenage daughters to have the same experience. Meagan thoroughly documented her previous trip and therefore has been able to share her insights with fellow Christians.

Corey Willis

For Corey, one of the most enjoyable parts of their 2008 trip to Israel was getting to experience seeing the Bible lands and build life-long ties with other Christians. It's not just where you travel, it's who you experience it with. His goal is to assemble a group of Christians who will edify you and with whom you'll build stronger, eternal relationships.
